Public Notice: Cease and Desist Use of the WeVote Trademark

Date: October 23, 2024

To Whom It May Concern,

It has come to our attention that multiple organizations, including but not limited to WeVote USA, have been using the "WeVote" trademark and brand without authorization. This unauthorized use has caused confusion among the public as to the rightful owner of the "WeVote" mark. We are issuing this public notice to clarify that the WeVote Foundation is the sole rightful owner of the “WeVote” trademark and all associated intellectual property rights.

The “WeVote” mark is a protected intellectual property, and any unauthorized use, imitation, or variation of this mark constitutes trademark infringement, unfair competition, and a violation of applicable federal and state laws. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of the "WeVote" name in connection with websites, events, sponsorships, and any other related activities that create confusion or falsely suggest affiliation with our organization.

Immediate Action Required: We hereby demand that all organizations, including WeVote USA, immediately:

  1. Cease and desist from any and all use of the “WeVote” name, mark, and brand in any format.
  2. Remove any references to the “WeVote” mark from websites, social media accounts, and other marketing or promotional materials.
  3. Refrain from any future use of the "WeVote" mark or any confusingly similar variations thereof.

Failure to comply with this demand will result in further legal action, including but not limited to claims for damages, injunctive relief, and any other remedies available under the law.

We are fully prepared to protect our rights and the integrity of the “WeVote” brand to prevent further confusion among the public.

This notice serves as a final warning. If you believe you have legitimate rights to use the "WeVote" mark, we urge you to contact us immediately to resolve this matter.

Sincerely,
Andrew Curran
CEO
WeVote Foundation
